Get Drunk Not Fat

"How many calories in beer? GDNF shows beer calories, wine and alcohol calorie and carbs sorted by their calorie to alcohol ratio.
Maximize your buzz by choosing drinks with the highest amount of calories from alcohol, not from fillers!"

Artistically Defaced Dollar Bills

"Right behind spending it, drawing on money is the second best thing you can do with currency..."

It still freaks me out that we are now able to actually see inside peoples bodies and brains without having to cut them open.

Message In a Bottle

I've featured this site before and I'm blogging it again because I think it's one of the best ideas for a website, and I wish I'd thought of it first :-p

You can order your own message to be put into a bottle and thrown into the sea or river - there's some different locations around the world that you can choose from. Then just sit back and wait and see who finds it and where.

Well I think this is interesting anyway...

How To Detect a 2-Way Mirror

"When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms, changing rooms, etc. How many of you know for sure that the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall is a real mirror, or actually a
2-way mirror (i.e. they can see you, but you can't see them)? There have been many cases of people installing 2-way mirrors in female changing rooms. It is very difficult to positively identify the surface by just looking at it. It's time to get paranoid. So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty? Well, once again, I am here to enlighten you.."

the fingernail test works a treat :)

I don't believe dietary changes are a quick fix for anything, but if you substitute this for that and that for this for 10 years or more then that's when you'll see the  difference probably

Impressive Aquaducts

Water bridges are bridge-like structures that carry navigable waterway canals over other rivers, valleys, railways or roads. Small ships and boats ply on these waterways. The most popular water bridge is the Magdeburg Water Bridge in Germany, the longest and the most impressive in the world. Although aqueducts has been used for supplying cities with water since centuries, they were not generally used for traffic until the 17th century when modern canal systems started to appear. The 662-metre long aqueduct carrying the Canal latéral à la Loire over the River Loire was built in 1896, and remained the longest navigable aqueduct in the world until the 21st century, when the Magdeburg Water Bridge in Germany took the title.

Passwords can be brute-forced i.e. another computer or computers to try all possible combinations of numbers letters and punctuation including dictionary words and other likelies but also even seemingly random passwords can be cracked in  minutes according to this calculator.

Apparently my desktop PC user password could be done in 2minutes 30s - eek :-o

My strongest one would last 24 hours 25mins though which is a little more reassuring..

However it all depends on what computing power they are throwing at the job and the site doesn't tell us that

BTW there's lots of little tools like this banging around the internet, just in case you weren't aware
